A Red-Letter Day

What a wonderfully blessed, fun-filled First Birthday Lyla had! Here's a glimpse...

Birthday cake from Auntie Bryana :)

On this, your first birthday Lyla, you should know that from your crazy tsunami hair, to your cute little pierced ears, to your elegant long eyelashes, to your beautiful blue eyes, to your adorable button nose, to your rose bud lips, to your 6 little toofers, to your chubby little cheeks, to your velvety soft skin, to your graceful little hula hands, to your squishy little pot belly, to your pretty long legs, to your wriggly painted toes, you are loved. We are so blessed to be able to enjoy your silly little squeaks and squawks; to be able learn about your sweet personality, your incredible patience; to be able to experience your heart-melting 6-toothed smile and your every day triumphs. We love you more than words could say Lyla. Happy First Birthday! xoxoxoxoxoxo Mom & Dad

Oh, the anticipation...

So here's the count-down to a very fun-filled week to come!

*The happy-dapper, soon-to-be birthday girl got her pictures taken at JCPenney today and I can't wait to pick them up! (Also, she learned how to drink out of a straw yesterday which Joel & I are pumped about--the simple joys of parenthood!)

*Grandma & Papa are flying in tomorrow (Tuesday)--we are so excited to pick them up at the airport!

*Wednesday will be a day of Thanksgiving and birthday preparations.

*Thursday = Thanksgiving Extravaganza at Aunt Jane's house!

*Friday = Baby shower/Double birthday party with relatives at Aunt Jane's house!

*Saturday = Lyla's First Birthday Bonanza!

I am so looking forward to all the festivities and fun and the many precious memories that will be made. :) I think that one sweet little Lyla Jane knows there's something up too!

Let the festivities begin!!!...........

Arizona Update!

Lyla and I have been in AZ since Friday and we've been having a blast! The weather is beautiful and we've had lots of time with Uncle Linc, Aunt Abby, the cuzzies, Grandma, and Papa. Lyla did amazingly well on our flight--it was a non-stop which was really nice. :)

We had lots of Halloween fun--Lyla even got to go trick-or-treating for the first time! Enjoy the pics of the cutest little pumpkin in the patch...
